Based on the theme of 'global telecommunications,' we've built an individual environment for each character featured on the cover, combining photography with hand-made and computer-rendered 3D models of people and objects. The key character for each album was an odd-looking creature, part humanoid and part machine, wired into all sorts of communication devices. The characters were created out of plasticine by illustrator Pete Fowler. More imaginary objects (weapons, flying objects, communication devices) were added to a bleak urban background. The result was a multi-layered collage of urban electric buzz + city funk. Much like the band's songs themselves, the design defies categorisation. |
Highlights 'Guerilla', the album, comes in a special edition: The LP features a pop-up engineer inside a control room, and the CD cover has a cute foldable pocket in concertina style. Services design, 3d modeling Quote Never in the field of model making, have so many exotic chocolates been eaten by one Welshman. We, at Pete Fowler's brain, would like to say RESPECT to AE and SFA.
