Published quarterly, Datawork is the in-house magazine of Offis, an IT institute based in Oldenburg. It is aimed both at members of staff as well as the general public, with articles on Offis' internal developments, events and trends in Information Technology. AE has been continously involved in designing Datawork for the last 4 years. We created the design template and guidelines for the first issue, which have been developed over time for subsequent editions. Due to the large amounts of text inside the magazine (and fairly strict requirements for handling it), a 'playground for designers' regularly features on the front cover. Each issue is based on a particular theme and introduces the main article with a graphic illustration. Parallel to the print newsletter is an online version, updated every month by the design bureau Stockwerk2. |
