Based on John Conway's Cellular Automata game, A-Life explores concepts of life, death, loneliness and overpopulation in an artificial environment. Simple birth and death rules create patterns from which complex life forms evolve. Extreme visuals, weird noises and intense silence establish a stark landscape where the future is both deterministic yet unpredictable; where survival has its consequences.
